About Canyon Lake
Canyon Lake is the Guadalupe River reservoir above New Braunfels, Texas, built by the Corps' Fort Worth District and operated with the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority. Its conservation pool is 909 ft; the lake fell below 70 percent full during the 2022-2025 drought and refilled in the July 2026 floods, which is why the level here is checked so often. Readings come from the Corps gauge at the dam, the same source the Texas Water Development Board publishes.
